An interesting word that people will find when it comes to news reports on celebrity weddings is the word “elope.” This refers to how a couple quickly ran off somewhere to get married. This is something that is quickly become common among celebrity weddings. These secret weddings are notable for many reasons.

A secret wedding is a wedding that is going to be one that will not be promoted. It is something that is going to be known by only a handful of people. These include the two celebrities who are getting married, friends that are being trusted with the information and will be attending the wedding and the facility that is going to be handling the private wedding.

A good example of this comes from how in 1985 the marriage between Madonna and Sean Penn was covered by a massive number of media outlets that were hovering all over the entire wedding site. This is something that put a good damper on the process.

In many cases it can be a real challenge for any celebrity couple to be able to get a good wedding going due to the attention that is going to be imposed onto them by the media. With a secret wedding this concern can be properly resolved for one’s needs.

In addition to this the wedding will be something that is going to be easier for the couple to handle. There will be no need to work on handling any invitations that will have to be sent out to people. This is great in that by not doing this the wedding will be one that can actually remain a secret.

A variety of celebrities have gone ahead with this type of wedding thanks to the many features of secret weddings. For example, in 2005 Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney both got married in a secret ceremony at the U.S. Virgin Islands. Although a few photos were taken this was after the announcement that the couple made regarding their marriage.

The popularity of secret weddings is something that is valuable for celebrities these days. These are weddings that will work in that celebrities can be married in a proper ceremony without the media pressure.
