When it comes to getting good value when making a reservation in a Michigan Hotel, one thing you must remember is that hotel prices are not fixed in stone. Don’t believe that the first prices you are offered are fixed – far from it! Particularly in this depressed economy, many hotel owners are very conscious of the fact that a discount reservation is better than no reservation at all! There are lots of hotels in Michigan to choose from, they are plentiful and varied and the tourism industry is very competitive indeed.

One way of finding the cheapest room rates in MI is to take advantage of online advance booking systems. Most hotel owners have internet sites where reservations can be made online and many also subscribe to accommodation comparison engines making it simple to shop around and compare hotel prices while keeping your eyes peeled for any specific discounts which may be applicable for your circumstances.

However, value for money is not neccessarily the same as cheap, you have to take into account the standard of the room, the facilities, overall ambience and amenities offered, the location and the friendliness of the staff also. Additionally, if you are traveling by car and plan to spend a lot of time touring around the state of Michigan, think carefully before reserving a city hotel with the higher prices, many hotels outside of the major cities are often better value and have easier parking too!
Obviously check out reviews for Michigan Hotels prior to booking, after all a cheap room with really poor service can spoil your vacation, it would be better to pay slightly more and enjoy your stay!
