A realtor just told me that the east coast of Florida is more desirable than the west coast, true or false?

I live in Chicago and want to move to a warmer climate.I just got off the phone with a realtor and this is what she told me.The west coast, gulf side, the winter is colder and the summer is hotter.I was looking at Boca Raton, a villa that is reasonably priced.Of course she wants to sell her property, what say you? Pensacola area, or ?

Your realtor is correct. I lived in the Boca Raton area for over 25 years.

The West coast of Florida has dirtier beaches and is more often crowded by elderly residents than the East Coast. Of course, Florida is G-d’s waiting room anyway, so you’ll find a lot of elderly everywhere, but I found that a lot more were living on the West coast.
