Welcome to PORT ORANGE, winner of the City of Excellence Award!
As a REALTOR® who was born and raised in the Daytona Beach area, I know Volusia County like the back of my hand. But Port Orange is my home, with good reason! I love living in, and selling real estate in Port Orange. Many home owners and seasonal residents have chosen to make their homes in Port Orange, in part because of it's motto, "Unique By Choice, Not By Chance".
The city of Port Orange was created with families in mind. From the oversized sidewalks to encourage walking and cycling, to the many beautiful lakes, to the intriguing Dunlawton Avenue which is the main thoroughfare to the Atlantic ocean. And of course, there's plenty of shopping! The hub of Port Orange is the City Center Circle. Take a peaceful walk around the lake and enjoy the amazing birds, turtles, fish and sounds of nature. There's also a nature trail, the city library, YMCA, baseball fields, public gymnasium, Palmer College of Chiropractic and an amphitheater for lots of concerts and exciting events. Port Orange is a great place to live, work and play. Our real estate values remain higher than many of the other cities in Volusia County, primarily due to the pleasant aesthetics, but also because of our grade A public schools. Many of my clients, when looking to buy a house in Port Orange, will specifically ask for certain school zones. Spruce Creek High School is well known for it's International Bacceulareate (IB) program, arts, sports and high standards. This information will be updated as new events are planned, and as real estate makes it's usual cycles.
